Watt and Murray, Fasti, 222, 226: Reginald succeeded in the office of archdeacon of Teviotdale in 1242, occurs on 30 October 1244, but left in 1245 to become archdeacon of Glasgow; he occurs in the Glasgow office on 19 April 1266. He died before 11 June 1268.
Watt, Graduates, 285: [under 'Irewyn'] Reginald was of unknown origin, though connected with Irvine in Cunninghame (Ayrshire). He was Master from 1242. He was appointed archdeacon of Teviotdale in 1242. He became a clerk of the king by September 1245, when he went to the papal court at Lyons, France. He was back in Scotland by May 1248.
