Description
Robert, king of Scots, notes that when he infefted the late James Douglas of Lothian knight of the barony of Calder Clere (MLO) and of Kingscavil (WLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh hereditarily rendering 12 pounds 5s. 10d. to him annually, and also he infefted hereditarily Reginald of Crawford of ten marks annually out of the aforesaid annual rent, he has granted his beloved and faithful William son and heir of the said late James Douglas of Lothian and has remitted to him those 8 marks with 5s. and 10d. remaining to the king out of the residual annual payment above, so that the said Reginald receives ten marks.
