Biography
Watt and Shead, Heads, 67: Geoffrey was prior of Canterbury when he was chosen to be the first abbot of Dunfermline in 1128. He served until his death on 9 June 1154. Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae, 1066-1300, ii, 8-12: He first occurs after May 1125 and remained prior until his appointment as abbot of Dunfermline in 1128. His nephew, also called Geoffrey (d. 1178), succeeded him as abbot of Dunfermline
