Robert, king of Scots, has inspected and truly understood a charter of Simon Lockhart made to William Lindsay rector of the church of Ayr [of annual rent of 10 pounds from Cardland and the Lee (LAN)], finding it neither erased, destroyed or damaged in any way, in the following words. The king confirms this.
