Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given William earl of Ross for his homage and service all the land of Dingwall (ROS) with castle and burgh and all burgh liberty which other burghs in Moray have with the annual ferme of two marks from the moorland of Strathconon (ROS), and all the land of Ferincoskry in the earldom of Sutherland (SUT), holding in feu and heritage for his forinsec service and his aid customarily owed in the time of King Alexander III, and rendering 20 pounds for the support of six chaplains in the chapel of St Duthac of Tain perpetually celebrating mass for the souls of King Alexander III and John earl of Atholl and all faithful Christians.
