John, abbot of Sweetheart; Walter, abbot of Paisley; Alexander, abbot of Tongland; Adam, abbot of Holyrood in Edinburgh; Patrick, abbot of Cambuskenneth; Gilbert, abbot of Culross; William, abbot of St Edward in Balmerino; Ralph, abbot of Dunfermline; Andrew, abbot of Cupar; Thomas, abbot of Scone; Donald, abbot of Holywood; Robert, abbot of Holm Cultram; John, abbot of Newbattle; Thomas, abbot of Lindores; Bernard, abbot of Kilwinning; Brice, abbot of Deer; Brice, abbot of St Columba (Inchcolm); and the convents of all these places; having come to the faith and will of the king of England, they promise for themselves and their successors on pain of body and possessions, that they will serve him well and loyally; and each of the abbots has performed fealty.
