Description
An agreement is formed between Sir Roger, bishop of St Andrews, and Abbot Henry and the convent of Arbroath. The bishop quitclaimed from cain and conveth these churches with the lands and chapels belonging to them: Arbroath (ANG), Ethie (ANG), Inverkeilor (ANG), Inverlunan (ANG), Barry (ANG), Glamis (ANG), Newtyle (ANG), Dunbog (FIF), Abirlot (ANG) and Nigg (KCD), but reserving the lands of the churches of Abirlot and Nigg to the bishop and his successors. The bishop grants and confirms by charter to the monks that they may possess all those churches for their own uses. The abbot and convent granted to the bishop and his successors the church of Benholm (KCD) with everything belonging to it in perpetuity, free and quit.
