Description
King Alexander II for Margaret, his younger sister; has given, for her marriage, all his land of Tynedale, to be held for one hawk yearly at feast of St Michael, reserving to king the homages and services of William Comyn and William de Ros, and advowson of church of Simonburn. If he marries Margaret outside the kingdom, he will give her in exchange for Tynedale land which is of equivalent value in rents and services within kingdom; nor shall she lose sasine of Tynedale until she gains sasine of land provided in exchange.
