- Description
- King Robert I has inspected and truly understood three charters of King Edgar, a fourth charter of King David I, and a fifth charter of the earl of Dunbar and has found them to be neither erased, nor cancelled, nor damaged in any way. [Charters quoted in full: 1) North Durham, App., no. 2 (H1/2/3); 2) North Durham, App., no. 3 (H1/2/2); 3) North Durham, App., no. 4 (H1/2/4); 4) _Chrs David I_, nos 31, 32 (H1/4/10); 5) _North Durham_, App., no. 116 (H3/15/20).] The king ratifies, approves, and confirms in perpetuity the articles of these charters as fully as in the time of King Alexander III his predecessors.
