Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his officers, noting that by the counsel and express consent of the bishops, abbots, priors, earls and barons and all the community of his realm held at Scone on Sunday after the Feast of St Andrew the Apostle (3 Dec. 1318) and continuing on subsequent days, in the thirteenth year of his realm, the following statutes were established. [For translation of the statutes, see RPS 1318/1 (http://www.rps.ac.uk/trans/1318/1)]. He commands his officers to proclaim these statutes publicly in their courts and for them to be observed in the king's courts as well as the courts of prelates, earls and barons.
