Description
John of Kingston writes to Ralph of Manton. The magnates of Scotland held a parliament at Rutherglen on 10 May. After dispute between the bishop of St Andrews and John Comyn, they agreed to elect Ingram de Umfraville as one of the guardians in place of the earl of Carrick, and adjourned till 27 December because of the earl of Buchan’s absence in Galloway.
