Description
Richard Siward, the knight, keeper of the castles of Dumfries, Kirkcudbright, and of Wigtown, has received by the hand of Sir William de Balliol and Sir Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, on behalf of Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, forty marks of sterling for forty days, granted to him for the custody of the said castles by the lord king of England.
