Richard Siward, elder, lord of Kellie (d.a.1311)

Biography
His wife was Mary, who stated in 1296 that he had four children by a (previous) wife. Mary herself had five children by her previous husband, the late Simon Fraser. Mary and Richard apparently had no children together and while Richard was in prison in England she petitioned Edward I for sustenance for herself and the nine children. One of Richard's sons was also called Richard and married a woman named Elizabeth (Stevenson, Documents, 93). Richard was captured at the battle of Dunbar and later imprisoned. Sheriff of Fife. Had sons John and Richard junior. Apparently dead by 1311. (CDS, iii, no. 205)
