- Description
- Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland, and duke of Aquitaine has granted and by this his charter established to the prior and convent of Durham and the prior and convent of Coldingham, which is a cell of the priory of Durham, that they may have one market every week on the Wednesday at their manor of Coldingham (BWK) in the earldom of Berwick, and one fair there every year for fifteen days, unless that market and that fair should be a nuisance to the neighbouring markets and fairs.
