Description
Robert, king of Scots, states that because John of Seton, and his son and brother, left his faith and stole the horses of Roger son of Finlay, his beloved and faithful, he granted and gave to Roger son of Finlay all the lands which belonged to John within the tenement of Cumnock (AYR), by all their correct bounds, in compensation for his property loss. The land is to be held and had by Roger and his heirs with all liberties, etc. pertaining to the lands, or any rights pertaining to them in the future, until what time full payment [for the horses] may be satisfied to Roger and his heirs by John and his heirs.
