Description
Alexander de St Martin has given, granted and by this his charter established to the church of Bara (ELO) in free and perpetual alms, all the lands which it previously possessed; moreover, all that land next to ‘Alnet’ (ELO) as far as ‘Alnet’, enough of his land next to ??? acre and of the meadow to be sufficient for an entry for their animals to the lands of the said church, as he made a sign in front of responsible men, and similarly of all that part of the meadow which lies next to ??? acre, entering to the north, and a full toft next to the church with a yardland (virgulata), as fully as Robert, nepos of the bishop, held and possessed it, for one day and one night, and one full toft next to the burn which flows near the house of Henry his brother, towards the south side, and free entry and exit to the pasture, and all liberties which other mother churches in the province have; and he takes his mill and assigns it to others.
