Bartholomew Fleming (Flandrensis) has given and by this his charter established, to the church of St Drostán of Insch (ABD), one toft and two acres of arable land next to the toft in ‘Rauengille’ his villa, between the great road and the moor, towards Glanderstone (ABD), with common easement of the same villa, and with common pasture for six animals (of burden) and one horse and 40 sheep, with out any custom or secular exaction. He has also done fealty and by this charter obligates himself that the church of Insch shall suffer no injury nor lose any of its rights by reason of his chapel (of Wardhouse, ABD) which he made for himself and his private family by licence of the abbot and convent of Lindores, as is contained in their charter that he has.
