Document 3/17/41 (Lennox, ii, no. 6)

Maldoven, earl of Lennox, has given, granted and quitclaimed, and established by his charter, to Sir David of Graham three marks from his rents of Strathblane (STL), namely, two marks from Fearchar Macgillemartin’s pleas in his court, and one mark from his old rent which the said Fearchar used to owe him annually. David and his heirs or assignees and their heirs are to be quit of all vexations, payments, exactions and demands for those three marks from him and his heirs in perpetuity, except the forinsec service of the lord king pertaining to that land, not opposing the six marks contained in his charter to him collated by the earl.
