Description: Alan, son of Roland, constable of Scotland/of the Scots, has granted and by his present charter established to St Peter’s Hospital, York, one ploughgate of land and a toft in Troqueer (KCB) which Sir Uhtred, his grandfather, conferred to them in pure, free and perpetual alms; to be held free and quit of secular exaction and service just as Uhtred’s charter bears witness.
