King Henry to Gamelin, bishop of St Andrews, John of Acre, Mary, queeen of Scotland, wife of John, Alexander Comyn, earl of Buchan, William, earl of Mar, Alexander the steward of Scotland, Alan Durward, Robert de Menzies, and Gilbert de Haya, counsellors of King Alexander; writes noting that as they have taken over overnment of Scotland, that so long as they conduct affairs of state according to God and justice, honour and advantage of king and queen of Scotland, and old laws and customs of that realm, he will afford his counsel and aid when required. If any of them err in any matter and do not amend it within three months, he shall be free from his obligation.
Not in Feodera, as claimed in CDS. Note that the exclusion of Walter Comyn must mean that news of his death had reached the English court; this is surely the reason for the two versions being produced on the same day.
