King David has granted, and by his charter established, to Whitby Abbey the alms that Alan de Percy and his brother, Geoffrey, gave of a ploughgate of land in Heiton (in Roxburgh, ROX) and another in Oxnam (ROX), to hold of the king in perpetual alms.
