- Description
- David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful James Douglas knight, all the lands of Eshiels and Quilt (PEB), which James resigned to the king at Edinburgh on 7 Oct., AD 1367; holding by James and the male heirs of his body, failing which by Henry Douglas, his brother, and his heirs; in feu and heritage, as freely as the said James held it before his resignation; performing the service which the late William Douglas knight, the uncle of James and Henry, did for the same lands.
