David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Nicholas Erskine, for his homage and service, all the barony of Kinnoull (PER) which was Robert Erskine knight's, father of the said Nicholas, and was Christiana Keith's, Robert's spouse, and which Robert with the consent of Christiana his spouse resigned at Perth on 14 Jan. 1367 by staff and baton; holding by Nicholas and the legitimate heirs of his body, failing which by the lawful heirs of Robert and Christiana; holding in feu and heritage in one free and integral barony, and in free warren, with tenancies and services of freeholders, advowsons of churches, bondsmen and bondages, neyfs and their offspring, with pit and gallows, toll and team, sake and soke and infangenthef; as freely as Robert and Christiana, or any earl of Fife lord of the barony held it; for service owed and wont. He also wills and grants that they may permanently be free of any wards, reliefs and marriages for the barony. And he firmly prohibits anyone from hunting or hawking there without permission.
