Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his justiciar north of Firth of Forth and the sheriffs of Perth and Forfar and their baillies, notifying that he has inspected and truly understood the charters of the abbot and convent of Scone over the lands, holdings, and possessions granted by his predecessors the kings of Scotland, which they ought to hold in pure and perpetual alms by right. He therefore grants, ratifies and confirms by these present letters all those lands and possessions in pure and perpetual alms. He firmly prohibits anyone from taking prises, suits, captions, carriages, or other services from the said religious or their men the inhabitants of the said lands.
