- Watt, Graduates, 432-3: Henry has been described as being from Nottingham, Caithness, or Nottingham, England. He was Master by 1272 and was a clerk in 1273. He was a canon of Caithness by 31 July 1273, and is described as such again on 7 November 1283. He held the church of Tarradale, Ross-shire, from 10 January 1274/5. He might be identified with the Master Henry of Nottingham, a canon of Southwell, Nottinghamshire, who occurs c.1234. After the death of Bishop Baltrodin of Caithness in 1270-1, he travelled to the curia, was there on 31 July 1272 until 4 June 1273, and again before December 1278 until 9 March 1278/9. He appears in England between 12 January 1282/3 and 1 March 1283/4, after which he is not found.
