Hugh of Duffus, canon of Moray and Spynie, master

Biography: Watt, Graduates, 271: Hugh appears in Watt, although not with 'Duffus' surname. He was master and canon of Moray in the time of Bishop Andrew and was probably the same as Master H., who held the prebendary of Spynie (1226x30). He was not Hugh of Douglas, who never appears as master. Cf. Hugh de Haketon.
