Stephen of Ecclesfield, master, canon of York

Biography
Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae 1066-1300, vi, 54-56: Stephen of Ecclesfield first occurs in the church of Wingrave (Bucks), at the presentation of the abbot of St Albans, on 3 July 1223. He resigned this office in 1229. He held the prebend of Apesthorpe' from 1238×41 and occurs frequently as a canon of York. He made a gift to Guisborough for the soul of William of Laneham, archdeacon of Durham, before 1249. He was still alive in 1255, before 25 March and died or resigned before 19 October 1255.
