- General commission to Sir John of Argyll that all the seamen and navy of the west of England, the Irish and Welsh coasts, and all in the king’s service in the isles of Scotland and Argyll, be under his command as their captain in the Scottish war.
Another general commissions to him to receive the king’s peace of all the Isles of Scotland and Argyll who wish to come in the king’s will.
Another special commission empowering him to take to peace the following on special conditions, that is, Donald of the Isles, Rory his brother, John McNakyld and Sir Patrick Graham, saving life and limb, goods and chattels, lands and tenements, without disinheritance.
