Description
Memorandum that on Saturday before the feast of the apostles Simon and Jude, in year 20 (25 Oct. 1292) at Berwick, Robert Burnell, bishop of Bath and Wells, chancellor of the king, died and the Great Seal which had been in his custody was given to Walter of Langton, keeper of the wardrobe, under the seal of William of Hamilton who authenticated this writ on Wednesday next following which day he took the bishop’s body to Wells.
