King Malcolm has granted and given to Dryburgh Abbey in free, pure, and perpetual alms, rent in Ednam (ROX) and the half ploughgate in Ednam which King David gave to Nicholas the clerk; he gives and grants besides, in Roxburgh (ROX), the toft next to the west gate, as King David gave it to Adam his chaplain.
