- Description
- Alexander, firstborn son of Alexander III, king of Scots, writes to his uncle, King Edward I, expressing affection for the king, queen, and their children. He prays king will grant him petition Sir Ingram de Umfraville is about to make for lands of his late father, Sir Robert de Umfraville, on whose behalf his lord father has also written. Having no seal of his own, he appends that of Sir William de St Clare, his guardian.
