Description
Richard Lovell, son and heir of Hugh Lovell (who is dead), his dear lord Edward, king of England etc., having received his homage and his fealty, upon which he has received the lands and holdings which he claims to hold in England and Scotland, agrees and promises loyally by these present letters to serve at the king's will in the war against the king of France, and pledges his person and everything he has to the will of his lord the king, and has sworn on the holy gospels.
