- Robert Hastang to Sir Ralph de Manton, as he has lost many horses in the king's service, not yet replaced, and the last one cost him 60 marks, asks him to arrange that he have a horse for his own riding as part of his arrears, as his valet John de Chiltern the bearer may find suitable for purchase. Begs him to see to this as he can find none where he is.
