- Description
- The king, referring to his late request to the Pope that he would remove the bishop of Glasgow from Scotland, and appoint as his successor Master Stephen of Seagrave, for the peace and tranquillity of the Christians in Scotland, greatly desiring that this should be granted, from his affection for Master Stephen and the security of Scotland, commands the chancellor to write special letters to the Holy Father repeating the request, and pointing out the virtues and conditions of Master Stephen, as he sees best; delivering them to the bearer.
