- Concerning the right of succession in the realm of Scotland and of ruling in that realm between Sir Florence, count of Holland, and Sir Robert de Bruce, lord of Annandale, before Sir Edward, king of England, overlord of the said realm of Scotland, at Berwick, both men claiming right of succession, on 14 June 1292 it was agreed between the two men that he who succeeds to the throne shall assign to the other one-third of the realm of Scotland, to have and hold of the said king of Scotland and his heirs in perpetuity, free and quit from all liberties just as an earl or baron holds within the realm, performing homage and service of a fifth of a knight to the said king. Further terms are stipulated.
