Description
The king commands the collectors of customs at Berwick-on-Tweed to pay Thomas of Pencaitland, esquire-at-arms, £91 5s. 8d., wages of himself, five esquires and ten hobellars, serving under Ralph de Monthermer, late lieutenant of Scotland, and in the garrison of Berwick, and restoration of his black horse lost, up to 2nd July last; as attested in two bills from the camera of Scotland.
