- John de Rossochet son and heir of the late Philip de Rossochet has given granted and by this his present charter established to Lord Michael Fleming, knight, the half davoch of land called the Easter Davoch of Newbigging (ANG), namely, the closest part to Lord Michael’s manor of Hedderwick (Montrose parish, ANG ), by stated bounds, marching with the king’s land and the royal road, having and holding freely in exchange for an annual rent of two marks which Lord Michael is accustomed to receive hereditarily from the donation of Lord David of Brechin from the grantor’s lands of Wester Davoch of Newbigging (ANG), rendering annually 1d. on Pentecost if requested.

For Michael Fleming, see 3/226/2. It is uncertain if this is the same Michael or his father. Michael Fleming appears from the county of Kincardine in the Ragman Roll, but neither he nor David Brechin are there called dominus.
