- Brian fitz Alan, keeper of the castles of Forfar and Dundee, has received from Richard the clerk thirty-six pounds and ten shillings of sterling from the escheats of the king on the south part of the Firth of Forth, on behalf of Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, [who was made] an associate to the same chamberlain by the lord king of England, overlord of Scotland, as part of the payment of his wages for the custody of the castles of Forfar and of Dundee.
