- Description
- John, abbot of Jedburgh, and the convent of the same place; William, abbot of Dryburgh, and the convent of the same place; Patrick, abbot of Melrose, and the convent of the same place; Richard, abbot of Kelso, and the convent of the same place; having come to the faith and will of the king of England, they promise for themselves and their successors on pain of body and possessions, that they will serve him well and loyally; and each of the abbots has performed fealty.
