- Description
- In [AD 1296, the 9th indiction], on July 29th, at [Elgin in Moray]; there being present the lords Walter de Beauchamp, Thomas Bicknor, and John Merk, knights, with many others, and the notary; Henry called Cor, John Wishart of the Mearns, Andrew son of Godfrey de Ros, Alexander of Ogston, William of Tattenhall, came to the faith and will of the king of England; and renounced any alliances etc. entered into with the king of the French; and performed fealty to the king of England, etc.
