- Description
- Hugh de Eure, lord of Kettins, for the salvation of the soul of Sir John [de Balliol], king of Scotland, and Edward his son, and additionally, for the salvation of his soul, and for the salvation of the souls of all his ancestors and successors, has given to Coupar Angus, in free, pure and perpetual alms, his spring in the land of his apdaine of Kettins (ANG), called Bradewell, which lies between the stones called Harstanes, with all the water falling in it, along with a conduit from the spring through his land of Kettins according as the monks can most conveniently lead the water to their monastery of Coupar Angus. Likewise, he grants that the monks may mend the conduit whenever the flow of the water is hindered.
