Description
William, bishop of St Andrews, on account of the impoverished condition of the abbey of Cambuskenneth, and for the improvement of divine worship there, wishes and ordains that all the fruits, offerings, and profits belonging to the church of Kirkton (St Ninians, STL), in his diocese, of which the rectory only belonged to the abbey before. He also empowers them to cause the said church to be served by chaplains selected by themselves; and binds himself to alter the terms of his letters, or even to issue other letters if they should think this expedient.
