John, king of Scotland, has given, granted and by his present charter established to his sworn man John de Insula, for his homage and service, all his land in Whitsome (BWK) with tofts and crofts and all buildings, wards, relieves, escheats, suits, etc., to hold of him and his heirs, in feu and heritage, for the service of half a knight.
