- Description
- Simon Fraser, son and heir of the late Sir Simon Fraser, for the salvation of his soul and for the salvation of the souls of all his ancestors and successors, has given, granted and by his present charter established to Melrose Abbey free transit for their carriages to be led through his land of Happrew (PEB), with their carts and beds (carectis). Hence, he wishes and grants, for him and his heirs, that they may have access to the road which extends beyond the moor of Happrew.
