Description
William of Fedderate and Christina of Moray, his wife, for the salvation and remedy of their souls, their relatives and sucessors, have given, granted and by this present charter established to Elgin Cathedral, Archibald, bishop of Moray, and all his successors all the rights of advowson, presentation or patronage which William and Christina have, or will be able to have in the future, within the church of Duffus (MOR), or in the vicarage or chapels of the same, resigning freely and fully in this deed, for them, their heirs and their successors, into the hands of the Lord Archibald, bishop of Moray, all right of presentation or patronage which pertains to them, or on any day will be able to pertain to them. And for the great security [of the act], William and Christina, by the expressed good will and consent of William, his lord and themselves, both simultaneously touched the holy gospels [and] furished an corporal oath.
