- Description
- Lady Dervorguilla of Galloway, wife of the late Sir John de Balliol, Brian abbot of Dundrennan, Hugh de Eure, Thomas Randolph, Henry Spring, Adam de Picquigny, Stephen rector of the church of Mitford, executors of the said John de Balliol of good memory, have received from Hugh the prior and the convent of Durham 1000 marks of goods and legal sterling in respect of the £1000 in which the said prior and convent were bound to the aforementioned Sir John de Balliol. In respect of that sum of money, as executor, they well quitclaim and declare that they have been paid, entirely renouncing, with the exception of the money not reckoned, not paid, and not handed over to them.
