Description
James, steward of Scotland, has given, granted, and made firm by this his present charter, for the welfare of the souls of himself and of King Alexander (III), to Paisley Abbey, free transit by the water of Cart-Lochwinnoch (Black Cart Water, RNF) between his yare (fish-lock) of ‘Hachindunan’ from the exit of his loch of Lochwinnoch and the yare of ‘Lyncleyft’, which belongs to the said abbey.
