- Description
- John de Montfort has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Arbroath Abbey, all that land called ‘Glaskeler’ (in Catterline, KCD), i.e., all that land between the church and the burn of Catterline, by right bounds, with liberty to build and have a mill on that land and to have its multure free and quit and its men, in free, pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from army and expedition and all other aids and gelds and other works and wards and all other pleas and plaints, customs, services, and secular exactions. He acquits in perpetuity and will respond for all services and accidents for the aforesaid land or the animals on it.
