Description: Hugh Malherbe, son of Hugh Malherbe, has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Arbroath Abbey two oxgangs of land in the territory of Rossie (ANG), by its right bounds, as perambulated in the presence of Sir W., prior of Arbroath and Sir Clement, monk of Arbroath, and Ranulph chaplain of Maryton and William chaplain of Inverkeilor, and Roger of Balcathie and others, in pure and perpetual alms, free from all service and secular exaction.
