Description: Walter son of Alan, steward of the king of Scotland, has assigned Adam of Ness and his heirs to pay to St Mary and the convent of Sixhills a rent of 3 marks annually, which Walter conferred in pure and perpetual alms from his rent which the same Adam and his heirs are bound to pay to him annually in return for the land that he conferred to the same Adam and his heirs to hold of him and his heirs in heritage by his charter, which also Henry Wallace once held.
